Applied Mathematics, MS
The mathematics graduate program at William Paterson University offers courses of study leading to a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics. It is designed to properly prepare students with a strong background and interest in mathematics for careers in fields such as scientific research and development, data analytics, operations research, and financial analysis.
Admission Requirements
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and official transcripts from all institutions of higher learning attended.
- Transcripts of undergraduate coursework showing evidence of completion of at least fifteen credit hours of mathematics and/or statistics courses.
- A one to two page personal statement stating why you are interested in pursuing a Master's degree in Mathematics
- TOEFL scores are required for non-native English speakers. Minimum scores of 500/170/60 for paper/computer/internet versions.
Recommended but not required:
- GRE General Test scores.
- Two letters of recommendation from former professors or others familiar with your level of preparation for graduate study in mathematics. Letters should contain current contact information including e-mail addresses.
